I lie on my back in the lush green grass, cool against my bare skin as I stare up at the sunlight streaming through the spaces between the leaves of that big oak tree. It's summer time and I can feel the warm wind blowing all around me.
I think about my life and a small chuckle escapes my lips, I have not a single care in this world. At least for the moment.
There in that time all the harshness and injustice of life flutters away on the wings of a Robin as it leaves its nest. The hatching of its eggs brings forth new life and hope. I close my eyes and enter into a blissful slumber from which I do not wish to wake.
I am at peace in this place. As long as I am there no harm can come to me. It is my haven.
