Yonder Yonder Beyond the Window

Sitting at my window sill looking at the dark night sky,
looking at the stars that seem so bright,
wondering when it's my turn to be the star of the night.
Letting my brain take control,
letting my sleepiness unfold,
yet wondering what's beyond this window.
Not knowing where it takes me but I'll be yondering,
yondering beyond this window.
I don't know if I'm sleeping,
I don't know if I'm dreaming,
but I know that this star is coming upon me.
I saw this star before,
I'm pretty sure it knows me too,
but I just don't know what it is but we know each other.
A second later it started forming into something,
my mood changed to afraid, to fearless, to astonishment.
My star soon formed into a person.
I know now what I didn't know before.
The star that was so bright, that was up all nights,
was the star in me awakening from its slumber,
that was yondering beyond this window.
It reached out it's hand & took mine in its.
We yondered beyond my window leaving behind the person sitting at my window sill.
Halfway in the night sky under the silvery moon,
I looked down at the person I once knew,
I looked up at the person I was becoming & thought if it was the right thing to do.
I let go of my hand & pondered for a moment.
I considered my choices & made my decision.
My star smiled at me & knew what I was thinking.
I floated back down & down I went,
back to the person I was,
the person I knew & the person I will always be & that's me.
I'll yonder another time,
I'll yonder aright, beyond this window,
on one dark starry night.
