Here is where I stand |
Come and meet me here In the breeze That continues its gentle dance Through the leaves High in the branches of this Tree. I stand here alone waiting For three or more to gather Around the rooted strength of the towering mighty tree. I don't enjoy the feel Of having to stand alone, But I continue in spite Because I know my place When my impatience begins Its revelation I think of the Tree, Growing here Rooted and unmoving Suportive and guiding Here to provide shelter A dome of love and peace Given freely and without cause Some join me but my numbers are few. Even less are not mirages. Yet I endure And seek the beginning. The Tree of life before me Wordly things behind I press on without diversion In hope of gaining another To stand beside me and water the seeds Our Tree leaves behind. Some accept the gift. Others will not have it Many are unsure And only they can decide. I hope they will understand And know the right choice for them But I also hope they will help Some time in some place with allowing the Tree to grow. As time continues and I find I'm at an end I discover that I'm not truly gone From the plans for me. They continue and I'm no longer alone. My patience never grows weary and I find I'm filled with joy Our Tree extends around the world It's root is deep and secure No one can ever rip it out Of the hearts of those that are pure. My turmoil was for something Greater than myself and I find I'm immensely blessed In my abundant spiritual wealth. God is my guidance Someone I can trust And one day we will know He provides the fruits of our labors And I was never alone. |
