mm feeling a bit masochistic maybe
It was a warm day, not the overly uncomfortable warm day that forces you inside to the comfort of air conditioning but more a pleasant spring afternoon. I was sprawled out in the sand by Aerie Lake, letting the sun turn my skin golden-brown. My mind was wandering to sleep. Fully relaxed for the first time in ages. I took a second to pull my hair off my shoulders and move the thin straps of my bathing suit over to reveal the left over tan lines from Colorguard practice. .
Clouds flitted lazily across a deep blue sky and I felt my eyelids flutter down. Losing my mind to the fiery inside of my eyelids, I let my imagination roam. I was feeling free, flying with the birds- riding the thermals higher and higher; not even the sun dared melt off my wings. A finger slid down my spine and lingered just above the bottom of my bathing suit. Shivers racked over me and I tried to roll over. His knee had pinned itself between my legs, making it impossible for me to turn. How did he get there without me noticing? I wondered aimlessly. The waist band of my bathing suit snapped onto my lower back and I jumped. His laugh was low- more of a purr. I glared at the sand in front of my face. He bent over me, the cool shade created by his body made more shivers roll through my spine. "Boo" he whispered into the back of my neck. Then it came, his teeth sinking into the tender skin there and I gasped; arching backwards off the sand. He caught my stomach with an arm and pulled me up a little further. I could feel the grin spreading over his face. He moved, allowing me more room to sit up. His finger traced my spine lightly- like a cool breeze ruffling the tree tops. I rolled my shoulders and sat up straighter. He was laughing again, his chin resting gently on my shoulder and one arm wrapped around my waist. He used his free hand to tip my chin up. The sky was as blue as his eyes and just as hypnotizing. He traced the line from my chin to my collar bone with a sharp point. I bit down on my lip- trying not to show just what that did to me. His laugh was light and airy on the exposed skin of my neck and I was shivering again. I could feel his fingers drawing patterns of goose bumps upon my skin. My heart was hammering and I felt certain he could hear the blood pounding with a vengeance through my veins. His lips ran over the smooth skin on my neck, one of his fangs caught it and a small gasp escaped my mouth. He bit down gently and slid his bite to the base of my jaw under my ear. He growled and dug into my back. Crimson ribbons were sliced neatly there from the base of my neck to my lower back. I arched backwards- pushing my shoulders into his chest. I was left looking up into his eyes. They reflected the purple in the sunset. I paused feeling myself drifting off into them. My stomach was blazing in an instant, his fingers having left their fiery marks across it. His lips found mine as he clawed his designs into my shoulders. I gasped and tried to pull away, his teeth dug into my lip and he dug deeper into my skin. I gasped as his teeth tore my lip and his hand did the same to my back. A scream bubbled in my throat but I crushed it down to a small whimper, I would not give him that pleasure- yet. He licked at the bite-bruises that littered my neck. Releasing me he positioned himself behind me and began to massage out the knots that were my muscles. I let small squeaks of pain escape my vocal chords when he hit a particularly tender spot. He was laughing as he made me relax. The moon was high above the lake by the time he was done. I had relaxed and let my eyes drop, falling asleep in his arms. My dreams were fleeting and dark. Wicked games in a fading forest, intoxicating scents and crimson colored ribbons. My mind raced through the night on wings, swooping over wicked scenes. When I woke the next morning I was stiff. The lake lapped gently at the shore. My first attempt at movement failed, there was a protective arm wrapped tightly around my waist and the other was locked over my shoulders. Carefully I lifted his arms and slid out of his warm embrace into the cool morning mist. He grumbled a little before rolling over and resuming sleep. I kissed hs warm cheek softly and walked down to the waters edge. Every muscle screamed in protest as I forced myself into motion. Slowly, like the aching of blood behind a bruise, I brought my leg up to a back arabesque. Fighting the urge to scream I pushed it further, all the way up into a full scorpion. Taking slow deep breaths I stretched. The cool air clearing out the remnants of my evil dreams. I rolled out my neck and pulled my arms high above y head. My back ached with the memories of the previous evening. I sat down on the soft sand and flopped over my legs, pulling the knots out of my hamstrings. I spread into a wide second and leaned forward, rolling over to touch my nose to my knees. The fog was being burned away by the blushing morning sun. I stood up slowly, relishing the tingling sensations coursing through my legs. His arms wrapped warm and protective around my ribs as he pressed against me. I hummed Moondance quietly; grinning at being in his arms. His low hum joined mine, his chest vibrating and making me laugh. I pulled away from him, laughing harder, and staggered into the soft tide. The chase was on. He came toward me and I took off running- laughing and grinning. With the small amount of breath left in my longs I collapsed in the sand. Gasping for air but still laughing. He flopped down next to me and pulled me into his lap. I laughed and curled up against his warm chest. He was humming again, his voice a low note. I smiled and sang along well it's a marvelous night for a moon dance, with the stars up above in your eyes. He stood up, still holding me close to him and walked smoothly up the sandy shore to the small house. It was simple in its existence, white with a porch hanging limply off its front. I felt my eyes drift close and vaguely remember being laid in a bed. The world spun sickeningly for a moment and all went black. My dreams were twisted blackness. I knew it was late in the day when I awoke. The sun was setting crimson in the west, the clouds blushing red-violet. The room I was in was glowing- every wall a brilliant lavender. The single bay window on the west-facing window let in the dieing light. A chair sat abandoned in a corner and a night table held a single glass and I instantly recognized its contents. The nasty consistency of the gray-purple liquid was that of semi-dried concrete. I made a face, knowing it was going to be smeared over the open wounds on my back to make them heal faster. I sighed, feeling something constricting me around my waist. I looked down and noticed his arm. It pulled me closer to him and I smiled. I knew he was exhausted but I wanted to get out of these clothes and explore more. I carefully slid my hand into his and pulled away. He grabbed my hand and pinned me back to the bed. He rolled over, keeping his eight evenly distributed across my mid-section. "Nope" he murmured sleepily, his voice was rough. I glared at him, so he leaned forward and brushed his lips quickly past mine. I gasped slightly and let him keep me pinned to the bed. I let the small hint of sleep settle over my brain and succumbed to the darkness of my dreams... I awoke to a cool feeling on my stomach. I shivered and curled up around it. I rolled onto my side and shivered more. His cool hands massaged the sweet smelling salve onto my back and I shook more. He hummed quietly as he took care of his marks. Taking time to massage out the knots he had created. When he was done he rolled me over and sat me up. I grumbled in protest at his freezing hands on my shoulders and waist, he merely smiled and left the room. I turned to the window. The sun, well-sunk below the horizon, had left the world to dimly lit stars and a full moon. I was enthralled by its simplicity and beauty. It shone with a clever silver glow that enticed lunar moths to dance before it. Miles and miles of fresh lavender stretched before me, glowing intoxicatingly in the moonlight. A flicker by the woods to the left of me caught my attention and I thought I saw him silhouetted against the moonlight but I blinked and he was gone. I turned my back to the moonlit fields and jumped. He was standing there with a small stack of clothes and a glass of tea. I made a face at the tea, knowing exactly what it was and just how nasty it would taste. He placed the drink on the windowsill and the clothes neatly on the nightstand. He took me in his arms and whispered into my hair. "you really ‘otta get more sleep, Hon, you're going to need it." I smiled and shrugged against his chest. "at least change clothes" he added gesturing with a shoulder to the pile. Slowly I disentangled myself from his arms and pulled out the clothes. He smiled and turned to face the window. I changed clothes to a pair of camo shorts I knew to be mine and a tank top with two small holes on the left shoulder blade I smiled at him and flopped onto the bed. I knew this was his room, and this his bed. It was warm and comfortable and something well known. I curled up on his pillow and stared at him facing the window. He was very cute. Blond hair long enough to curl slightly and the muscles in his back were visible even from here; very much a dancer's body. Everything about him was intoxicating and in my minds eye I could picture his eyes. Gorgeous and never ending, much like the ocean before a storm. Rolling grey-blue seas ravaging my heart like they did the shore. I was lost in my day dreams, so much so that I didn't notice the bed dip down as he sat next to me. His warm hand slid nimbly into mine and a small smile curled sweetly across my face. He lay next to me and looked into my eyes. I felt as though he were looking straight through me, right into my soul; my heart. "Penny for your thoughts?" I asked placing my fingers delicately on his cheek. He turned his face into my hand and kissed my palm lightly. "You." He said simply. I looked at him curiously trying to read his shadowed eyes. His fingers traced the outline of my jaw, my lips, my eyes, I shivered and closed my eyes. His hand slid over my closed eyes and I knew better than to move. His lips brushed carefully over mine; he smelled amazing and I let my hand lock around the back of his neck, pulling him into a harder kiss. He pulled me into his arms, his teeth bruising my lip. One of his fingers slid down my spine and I gasped against his mouth. He smiled and released me, letting the cool air separate us slightly. I shivered as the frigid rolled over me. His smile made me laugh as he pulled me back into his arms. "you should drink that tea, it'll help" he murmured as he stroked my curl-ridden hair. I made a face into his chest. "Does it have sugar?" I asked, knowing the answer. He bopped me lightly on the head "You know it doesn't work as well when its all sugared up" he scolded. I took the glass from the sill and sniffed it. I scrunched up my nose and looked at him over the rim of the glass. I sneered and drained it in two big gulps. It stung my throat and I coughed slightly. "Yuck!" I mumbled. He kissed my cheek and chuckled lightly into my ear "You're cute" I made a face at him and made to get up. He caught me around my waist and pulled me back into his lap. Merowoumpf I grunted landing on his thighs. He purred into my shoulder before biting it viciously. Every muscle in my body tensed in response. He chuckled and licked the mark on my neck. I shivered and pulled away again, this time rewarded with ten crimson lines across my stomach. I breathed in quickly the memory of the previous evening flashing in my mind. He grinned as though he could sense exactly what I was thinking. I broke free of his arms and stared out the window. The moon had drifted to the trees and hung gloomily there. Fingers of pink reached tenderly towards it as if wanting to draw it closer to the sun. I hadn't realized how warm he was, but now the cold had set in like a tidal wave. I was shivering soon and the concerned tut behind me told me that he had noticed. I grumbled slightly at the blanket that was soon wrapped around my shoulders. "Get some sleep, Hon" he said pulling me back to the bed. I flopped down next to him curling up into the blanket. I felt the tea settling in my stomach and knew the narcotics in it taking place. My eyes drifted closed and I felt his hand on my back as he began massaging again. I slipped into dreams. Darkness was wrapped around me in a cool misted cloud. Noises echoed around me all blending together to shroud my hearing. My vision was gone due to something wrapped tightly over my eyes. My arms were bound tightly behind my back. the crackle of someone walking over dead leaves attracted my attention. I turned my head toward that direction. There was nothing. He was taunting me even in my dreams. I wanted to scream in frustration. It was like I could feel his marks burn to life although I knew he hadn't touched me. I was shaking, aching for crimson ribbons to destroy my spine. His laugh was light but evil, he was only taunting- nothing more. I pulled against the ribbons tied tightly around my wrists with no success. His lips claimed mine in a laughing kiss. I opened my eyes up and saw him looking at me. He was much cuter in real life then my mind gave him credit for. I stretched, feeling the tank top I was wearing slide up my stomach. He placed his cool hand on my bare skin. I squeaked and dropped my arms instantly, he kept his hand on my stomach ignoring my protests. I rolled over and he let his hand slide to my back. He tugged me onto his lap and bit my nose lightly. "How long did I sleep?" I aksed perplexed, his hair was wet and smelled intoxicatingly of French Lavender and Jade. "all day" he answered off-handedly. I glanced out the window and sure enough, the sun was setting golden above the trees. "I need to do something!" I said rolling over and getting up. "I want to run!" I claimed, stretching more. He gestured to the field. "Knock yourself out, just know I'll be following" I took a fleeting glance over my shoulder and took off down the halls to the outside.
