Where am I

I work hard to get where I am
But where am I
Out in the ocean
U can sink or swim
It's your own choice
But where do you go
You get buried
By the waves
As you're starin
At the sky
You don't know what to do
But your hops are stayin high
So which one's the northern star?
How do you know where you are
And where do you go?
Oh the salt of the sea
Can be blinding at times
