I lift my face up to the sun
the pulse of the earth is the breath in my lungs
becoming one
I run against the wind
drown out the madness around me
and for one moment all is quiet
so you can whisper to me

Grey clouds darken our blue sky
with your song as the wind under my wings
i take off and fly
fighting against this blindness
but in the thunder i hear you singing
getting lost in love for you
ignites the same hopeless feeling

Your touch strikes my like lightening
with every flash I let go and
feel my senses heightening
the rain against my skin
takes me into your silent storm
i can feel your presence around me
and my soul takes form

And when each day turns into night

still holding me tight
against this earth- bound body
I'm rising above these scars
