Graceful blossom adorning a tree
Its beauty unequalled, to nature's envy.
Flowers radiant, it's the belle of the ball
Dancing rythmically, petals free-fall.
Grey clouds looming on a distant shore,
Whispering loudly, 'till they whisper no more.
Darkness growing as they gather round,
Ferocious chanting now the only sound.
Strong winds shake the delicate tree,
She looks for a comrade, some company.
A sunbeam peeks, through a gap in the clouds,
But cowardly stays, behind baying crowds
With a thunderous roar, the rain starts falling,
The blosoom screams, but no one hears her calling.
The attacks rain down, unabated,
The wind sings merrily, clearly elated.
Suddenly though, the skies start to clear,
And the noise dies down, as though in fear.
A rainbow is seen marching along,
With its armies of hope, clearing the throng
The blossom looks up, in disbelief
Wiping her tears, in sheer relief.
Though she knows they may attack again
A seed of hope will, in her heart remain.
