Confusion and Joy

Why do I feel so happy when he looks at me like that?

How can his simple grin make me forget where I'm at?

This happened so suddenly,I almost didn't realize.

One day I just knew when I looked in his eyes.

In the not so distant past,we weren't even friends.

In such a short time,my heart began to bend.

They say I don't love him,but I'm sure they aren't right.

After all thoughts of him keep me up every night.

Right now I can't think,my mind's drifting away.

It finds its way to my angel every single day.

My heart longs to know how he feels about me.

Inside I'm sure no one else could keep me happy.

There is nothing to do but let myself think and wonder.

For now it's just one more thing in my life to ponder.
