This is about the scarcity of love in our society today
We live in a society where we’re alone, every day; we do the same thing over and over again, with little contact from other people. It’s no wonder love is hard to find when we’re off in our little worlds every day. We see people constantly but do we bother to say a little hello? Or a how are you? No, because we’re too consumed with our own lives, our own thoughts that those of others are not important to us. All we care about is ourselves. And in order to find love, we need to change that.

In order to love someone other than ourselves we need to be self-less, and put other people before ourselves. It doesn’t matter who that person is, as long as we think of their needs first we are on our way to become more loving people. We need to get out of our little offices and houses and go out and meet people, and interact with them properly. Instead of a curt nod at someone every now and again we need to make conversation with them and make them feel wanted and appreciated.

Love isn’t elusive, its just the way we think. If we interacted more openly with people and listened to them we’d know that love isn’t just between husband and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend, its also about loving your friends and family. If we could just do that we’d feel differently about everything and see the world in a loving and friendly manner.

We need to be open about our feelings to our fellow man, to talk to them and understand them, and in turn they’ll listen and understand us. The easiest way to do this is by small talk, just talk about the weather, or how the day is going for you, that will lead to more talk about yourself and will get the other person to open up to you as well. It’s not hard to let love into your life, you just have to embrace it, and make a few small changes daily. The next time you see someone on the street, say hello to them, you never know that may be all they need to get them through the day. To show them that someone out there cares about them and knows they’re alive.

If we don’t change the way we live now, imagine how the world will look 10 years from now without love, it’ll be hideous and filled with more pain, suffering and destruction, do we really want that for our future? Or do we want peace, love, happiness and understanding instead? If we all worked together we could make the world a lot nicer to live in. Everyone would be so much happier and friendlier, and everyone would benefit from it.
