My Mindset Shifts

My mindset shifts, into this state,
My heart is aching, as I wait.
I feel my effort wasted for,
There is no response anymore.

  The life I've led could never change,
  Though travels turned an honest page.
  That in my mind, have yet to see,
  The truth of you that lies in me.

Through this heartache, I wait in place.
As if a fear I couldn't face.
And when inside, I seem to die,
You are not here, to catch my eye.

  I search my thoughts, only to find,
  My way of life, is always blind.
  I've strained to see, the path to meet.
  But see the light just past my feet.
