Shoes

Shoes:
you strap shoes
on your feet
take a step towards the door
an open portal
to a beautiful world
one only the best artist
could design
architect of humanity
produced the first humans
told them to ignore the sacred tree
but the woman forbade him
lost out on the prefect life.....
well I disagree that woman
doomed us to reality
a place where each step
changes your life
each breath makes a difference
each new person makes an impact
all lives come to an end
walking from place to place
we watch the world
revolve around us
without a care
not realizing
the beauty
the design
the amazing detail
in the trees, animals and things
around us.
to imagine all this started
by putting on
a simple pair of tennys
kicks, slippers, boots
in asia they call it a clog
in old school america
native times, a moccasin
in the 80's dubbed a sneaker
today we just call it a shoe.
no matter what you call it
its all just a simple word for:
a key to walk through that door,
a license to explore,
a ticket to see
the greatest art in history
the race of humanity
