Knitting bits of an old woman's memory together, a double nonet
Dancing fingers substitute for feet
Kneedles flashing, rests in her seat
Entertainment reveries
Sadly, misplaced the keys
Weaving threads of thought
Go she cannot
"I've lost it...
Old twit!"
Knit
Purl
Wits whirl
Now a girl
Beneath the old
Memories unfold
Kneedles recess and shrug
Steady hand probes beneath rug
Youthful smile floats from lonely seat
Waltzing out, laughs, "The pattern's complete!"
