I haven't been on in AGES. Please, enjoy this poem. Its being edited later anyways. |
Well I do believe There is to be a show tonight And well, I'm intrigued You're lucky if you get a bit of the old limelight In this two-star tower of a hell Well I can clearly see Why you won't sing But surpassed, it goes Because its theater, honey, and no one has time for that Choosey little thing called common sense Or love, yes love. We're all actors here Don't be surprized when you find yourself Spinning lies because it feels right Oh, we all moan in pleasure For the thought of being wanted And accepted, to say the least Though you'll always feel wrong when the crowd applauds But you have to smile like you mean it, honey You have to kiss like you mean it, babe You have to cry like you mean it, honey You have to love like you mean it, babe Because they'll simply Eat you alive Now role the tape Stop and rewind He's waiting but she's not showing up For the little meeting they arranged this morning Because she's at a 'negotiable stance' with higher powers than he Cry, babe, this town could use more rain I could kill them all just to see you smile But its theater, babe And the show must go on |
