Truth be told

He came without warning

the way to tell

was the crimson burning

of the churches in the night.



What they didnt know

was he lived among them

befriended them, preached to them.

he knew there was an absense of god.

and when he felt the time was right,

he rose

he rose from the depths

when all was silent.

and as each human perished,

he wispered three simple words,

Truth be told.
