Here are two poems inspired by vampires, but not only relavent to them. Dedicated to Erik. |
Complex Explination: Dependant, trying to stand alone Broken, trying to make amends Honorable, but I will lie tell more to strangers, and hide from my friends. Lost, but I know the way Humble, but I am the best I have questions, but also my pride memory fails me, so I don't know the rest. Responcible, yet I waste time Funny, yet I cannot joke I have deep hungers, but nothing reaches me beat me bloody, I'll just give a poke. Thirsty for knowledge, but I stand still Full of hope, but also of fear I have a need to understand, but live in denial human nature follows me, stop it screaming in my ear. In reality, trying to escape Organized, trying to find chaos I have instincts, but I ignore them these things are all in me, growing slowly yellow moss. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Great Adventure: Reality is a hurricane it bends you or breaks you sometimes you rebuild your house or you lose everything. Reality is a crucible turning you from coal to diamond you are tossed in a storm and the sky is clearer by the end. Reality is for learning it's full of twists and turns you meander down the dark alleys or glide along sunny highways. Reality is an exam you don't want to take it but you have no choice and you feel relief at the end. Reality is a wonder the thrill of discovery in your veins awaking that brand new idea searching and finding a silver lining. Reality is an experience some are buffeted for decades a few have short, instinctual lives for all it's different and the same. Reality is many things, and we all know it's a changing, painful teacher mandatory, beautiful and in us all but to put it plainly, reality is. ~~ These Poems I Dedicate To: Erik, Rest in Peace My Baby Boy ~~ |
