The first thing I've ever written.
I've been in the dark so long
    that I don't know how to get out...
It's as though I'm in a deep dark hole
    and as I look up
I can see the bottoms of people's feet walking
    about
          I shout...
                    but no sound ever comes out.

Somebody...anybody
                  please help me...
find a way out...
    of this deep dark hole
          that everyone keeps walking over and around.

I feel as though I might
                        just not ever be found.
