My Brain.

It has gone insane.

What to do?
Where to go?
These thoughts bring pain.

Like a train on a track,
I can feel the wheels turn.
Spinning and squealing,
So fast that they burn!

Can you see the thick smoke?
What does it mean?
As it consumes my humanity,
What do you glean?

My thoughts the fuel,
My body a machine.
Moving relentlessly,
To places unseen.

What is my purpose?
How can I know?
Will this train stop?
Where does it go?

Will there ever be answers,
To that which I seek?
Will there ever be justice,
In the words that I speak?

Will my brain find the peace,
I so desperately crave?
Will you answer my call,
Before I lay in my grave?

With all of my strength,
These questions I scream.
Into the vast darkness,
Is this only a dream?

The silence is frightening,
I fear my fate.
While holding my breath,

I wait.
