Reasons For Wind Chimes

      Soft music in the background,
  Glistening clips of silver and gold
                  Flashing rays of sunlight and sound.

                                    Summer time carols that whisper
                                                                  In the wind-
                            Feeding the soul memories of
                                                Countrysides,
                    White wood porches, and a distant one of
                    Heaven.


                  Storms are coming, silence and stillness.
                        Someone has died.  A heart perhaps?
                                    With a birth, or a kiss, or both,
                                        The chimes sing louder.


                                                          I hope when we meet
                                There's a breath of wind on every porch,
                    And when you leave me,
                     
                                                There's not a note to be sounded.
