Someone read it. Please do...
She walked past swiftly;
Swiftly, and with her eyes
fixed straight ahead
she walked past him;
An Aphrodite could not have been
Prouder;
Prouder than this little minx
who walks in contempt of
everyone;
Everyone who dares assert
his existence;
for the world she believes
belongs to her,
Only to her.

Yet,
when he is not looking
in her direction
she seeks him out,
and stares at his being;
Wanting, it seems,
to transfuse the essence
of a soul out of her imagination
into his body;
Then when she tells herself
that he is
what she wants him to be
She loves him;
She is a lonely soul.

Once,
In passing
they happened to look
into each other’s eyes;
She smiled shyly,
And he smiled back heartily;
His smile was full of sunshine,
The kind he generously bestowed
on everyone;
For doesn’t everyone have a right
to sunshine?
Her smile evolved from
the deep secret of her heart;
She knew at that moment
that she would conquer him,
and turn him into someone
worthy of her.

Time passed--it always does;
He still smiles
at almost everyone,
cause a smile is not
something you reserve
for only a few;
To her though he has revealed
much more--his tears,
and dreams, and fears,
and thoughts,
which are now more or less
under the influence
of a pair of alluring, dark eyes.

It is in her however that the change
is most prominent;
She still walks swiftly,
looking straight ahead,
but there is in her eyes
no contempt
for the world
that now belongs to her
more than it ever did,
for he has turned her
into someone
worthy of herself.
