Peace. Let's change the world.

Peace. It's such an easy word to say. Such an easy word to wear. Such an easy word to logo, to quote, to possibly mention, or use as goodbye. But do we ever try to achieve it? Do we try to put it to action?

This has been on my mind for quite sometime now. I know it's hard sometimes to face the issues the world has today. There are numerous going around. However, sometimes the issues of this world aren't always just the issues themselves, but the attitude towards them. Heck, our attitudes in general.

Let's start with the ignorance of it all. The narrow minded people that just won't let it go. There are some people that blame gay people for everything gone wrong. They say the world is going to hell for them. Number one, don't blame something you don't like for the countless amounts of issues we have. Just don't. No, discriminating gay people is a whole different topic. But the fact that there are so many people picking and picking at just the different things we have in this world and blaming them, and putting all of that weight on their shoulders is disgusting. And your saying the world is going to hell because of them?

What the world's issue is HATE. It's the hate we bring opon EVERYTHING. Not just gay people, but race, but religion, but income!

Every nitty gritty thing we as a society can pick out about anyone, or anything is hated. It may not be entirely intentional, but it's done. We don't give a women a certain job because it's a man's job. We don't socialize with a group of black people because we're white. We don't talk about how much we love the north if we live in the south because we'll get dissed by the people hell bent on the south. We'll get called a Yankee. Girls will get called sluts for other guys actions. We will get picked on whether we're rich, poor, smart,dumb,beautiful,ugly,shy,confident,religious,atheist.

ANYTHING.

There is nothing we can do about the gas prices, the war, the global warming, or the starving kids in Africa in a second. I'm not saying we can change everything and achieve complete peace. All I'm saying is that nothing will happen until we even try. And that's the hardest part. We're afraid to try. To try to be nice to your enemies. To try and not judge every person in sight. To show compassion.To LOVE.

To Love is to create Peace.

And you can do that any minute, any time, and any place.

We can change the world.

So what are we so afraid of?
