God, I thank You for making
Me what I am today.
You made a pot out of me,
I was just barren clay.
This pot may not be painted,
Nor glazed, nor shining yet.
The purpose of my making,
I hope I don’t forget.
The purpose You had in mind,
How can I fathom out?
I know a sapling has to
Grow when You make it sprout.
So, God, I have striven to
Keep moving on the road
On which You have placed me and
Hope I reach Your abode.
• My feelings on receiving the following review from a reader for a poem of mine:
“I have been learning from you, the Master, and now I am judging you ! Sweet Irony. You are wonderful. ……………… My friend known as………. says she has also learned from you. Many thanks to you for being who and what you are”.
