The shattered glass scatters,
Piercing clouds.
I float among them,
Broken,
Bleeding
From the shards.
The sun reflects off the pieces
And paints a million rainbows.
Each perfect
But disfigured.
The crescent moon fights for its place.
Lightning and fire end my dream
And begin the nightmare.
The ground leaps closer and closer
And I view the spectacle below.
Sirens blare,
People crowd.
Metal and glass litter
The asphalt.
A lone girl lay
Broken,
Bleeding
On the cold dark street.
I see her face,
Dead.
I feel pain
Yet I am numb.
Breath forms in my lungs
And they collapse.
My last view,
The sky.
