I will Chase your Shadow

I shed my tears in vane but i know you love my pain. 
Forever I will cover you with all the shit you put me through.
A cloak to keep you warm, “I’ll be your shelter through the storm”
Your lips are blue again but you’re not submerged in evenings cool, you’re just cold.
And little darling you’re dry ice, thoughts of you set me on fire.
But this burn is one I’d die for, so ill choke a little more.
The words we left unsaid, and the ones I now regret…
Swirl with decisions that I made which will send me to my grave…
Alone.
I said that would be you, but that just won’t come true.
Coz everybody sees your eyes, and fall in love with you for life.
Both of us are stains but one thing sets us apart...  You’re an oil painting master-piece in the middle of a heart.
And I’m a smear of broken promises and dreams.  But you broke your promises to me.
A dangerous game, gas and open flame….
But I’m the only one burning out…
You’re untouched by my pleas, I’m on my knees,
And I’m screaming, bleeding, breathing,
Not for long.
I cry my tears in vane my hidden shame, as I’m picking up the pieces which show that once you cared. 
And a stale promise chokes me, hanging in the air, “I will always be there.”
