A poem I wrote 30.11.08

You were like the first sip of wine I ever took
So sweet on the lips, but inside you hurt
And my eyes became fire, now all I want is more
Just one last taste to satisfy this thirst
But just as well, when you were gone, all I felt was bitterness
Inside I scream for one last chance
Just give me back the life that I had
And if I ever forget about you
I won't ever be coming back

I may be lonely, an I may as well be sad
But it's just 'cause I'm longing to go back home
I've never felt so homesick for a house in which I have never lived
But none-the-less I long to depart from this life
I know happiness is just another choice
But I never had the chance to embrace it, and now there's not much I find worth living for
Just now and again, the chance to see your smile

Oh, how your happiness weakens me.
