Noise. Chatter. Distractions. Our world today is filled with it. City babble, trucks roaring, vendors yelling, people gossipping. TVs and computers prattling . But it wasn't like this at first. In the beginning, when God created the world, it was silent, peaceful. The stars sang their songs almost silently, so silently one had to strain to hear them. The forests murmered their conversations, whispering so quietly it was barely audible. The wind breathed across the land, whispering, teaching secret languages to all who would take time to listen. All of nature's symphony, the famous orchestra, was so quiet that only the people who tried the hardest, wanted to the most could hear it and learn from all that nature can teach us. God filled the forests with secrets, the moors with teachings, the tundra with lessons, the deserts with advice. Those who are wise enough to listen to them have an opportunity to learn things that no one else will be able to teach them. Nature is a teacher unlike any other. Those who listen to her are the wisest and the ones who are peace with themselves and others. They are the ones who are happiest in life and have the fullest, most meaningful lives. One should strive to become one of these people. One should learn to listen to the stars.
