Out of the Darkness

No more, that's it, enough!
She shouts,
as she sits on the bathroom floor.
Burns on her leg, pills in hand,
She gets up and heads for the door.

No more, thats it, enough!
She pleads,
with the chattering in her head.
Praying for silence,
she closes her eyes,
and lies there in her bed.

The silence creeps in slowely,
as if guided by a hand,
with a jolt of realisation,
she pledges to make a stand.

No more, that's it enough!
She states.
I will not let you win,
for I am armed with knowledge,
and ready to begin.

Out of the darkness
and into the light,
she starts her journey,
her fight for life.
