No One Deserves to be Abused

Long gone is the pain
Yet the scars will remain.

The thoughts of worthlessness
Living in a state of hopelessness.

Thinking I deserved his abuse
I was only giving him an excuse.

My abuser showing no remorse.
The situation could only get worse.

He blamed me for the assault.
If I suffered it was my fault.

Rages of uncontrolled anger.
Exploding in to so much pain and danger.

Hating the so-called life we shared.
For myself I no longer cared.

A choice was made, there was no other way.
I let go of the pain and walked away.

On the Cross Christ paid the price for me.
He bailed me out and set me free.

No one deserves to be abused.
An abuser should never be excused.
