Introduction

Krista, a popular fourteen-year-old girl, is very small for her age, only standing about five foot tall and weighing about seventy pounds. However, she has the attitude of someone much bigger. She definitely is not the type person to be pushed around easily. Krista’s unique, vibrant, yellow eyes like that of a large wild cat; waist length silky dark auburn hair; and upbeat, easygoing personality make her a very hard person to forget once one has had the pleasure of meeting her. She is the type person that would give the shirt off her back if she thought it would help someone else. Her trusting generous nature leads some to think of her as naïve.

Tina is almost the exact opposite of her best friend. Tina has the same charismatic, easygoing personality and same dark auburn hair, but that is where the similarities between them end. Tina has a much more athletic build than Krista, standing about five foot six and weighing about a hundred and fifty five pounds. She looks and acts about twenty even though she is only fifteen. She wears her hair in a short, stylish, curly cut. Her eyes are a piercing blue that always reflect her beautiful bright smile. Tina would help a friend in an instant, but is much more reserved than Krista when it comes to helping strangers. Tina never trusts people until they have proven to be worthy of her trust. Tina and Krista also differ greatly in the type clothes that they wear. While Tina only wears expensive stylish clothing, Krista could care less about what is “in” at the time. Not that it matters because Krista has the type build that she looks good in anything that she chooses to wear, which is usually jeans and a t-shirt or sweater.

When Krista and Tina meet Trevor, everything will change for everyone involved. While it changes everybody’s life in ways that no one would have imagined it will change Krista to the very core
