Whispering soft secrets |
How many have searched for fullfillment in faith. The cold breath of death faint apon their lips. Stirs a morbid fancination with eternity. Dolorus looked at the wind swept snow and grey limbs of leaf stripped trees. She signed querulous, "The winter makes me sad." Professor Bethe answered in sign language, "Everything green is under the snow." Dolorus looked worried and beat her chest, then signed, "It will come back? Come back?" Professor Bethe picked up her little chimpanzee girl and they kissed, "Yes." the professor signed. Dolorus was the quickest to learn sign language and very insightfull. Bethe loved her very much. "I want to play in the snow!" Dolorus signed and made excited whooting. Professor Bethe put a sweater on Dolorus and put her own on. The chimpanzee rolled about in the snow as the professer watched. "Birds!" Dolorus signed and beat her chest whooting. Bethe laughed, "Crows." she signed... Professor Halley appeared at the labrotory doorway. The two professor confered. "Is she ready for the probe?" Halley asked. Bethe dreaded this question, "She's very bright. I don't think she's ready." Profesor Halley frownded, "We need to know the source of this mutation through diagnostics." Bethe turned away, "You wont find her soul." Halley was turning red in the face, "You must think about the future. All the children could end up like your daughter." Bethe looked him in the eyes, "God has given her to me and you wont dissect her!" Bethe could see Dolorus had stopped playing and was staring at them. Bethe motioned to Dolorus to come over. She did. "This man wants you to go with him." Bethe signed. Dolorus shook her head, "No. I want to be with you." Bethe turned to Halley, "My daughter refuses to go with you." Professer Halley sighed, "Alright. Just continue with the psyc tests and let me take some blood." Bethe knodded and carried Dolorus inside for some bananas and orange juice. :) |
