How to Win Hearts and Minds, from Machiavelli's The Prince.
A Borgian Clerihew.

How to Win Hearts and Minds,
                                                      from Machiavelli's The Prince.

Cesare made conquered Romagna tremble, then nervously laugh,
By having his first, stern Governor cut in half
And left in the square, to give the people hope
This Borgia would rule as their son-of-a-Pope.

Barra de Navidad, Jan 25, 2009.

Note: The Clerihew is an unsophisticated form invented by a schoolboy. It is not intended to be taken too seriously.
