A song I wrote as snow was falling today and also remembering 1961/1962's snowfall
Softly falling,
Snow is calling
Me to play.

I’m recalling
Snow was falling
Yesterday.

When small I stood
As only a child could
Amidst the snow.
I sat astride a sledge of wood,
It felt so good,
A long time ago.

Gently whiting,
It’s exciting,
Here today.

It’s delighting
And inviting
Me to stay.

So I touch the snow,
Feet and fingers glow,
I feel set free.
As I gather, throw,
Once again I know
The child in me.

Softly falling,
Snow is calling
Me to play.

I’m recalling
Snow was falling
Yesterday.

So I touch the snow,
Feet and fingers glow,
I feel set free.
As I gather, throw,
Once again I know
The child in me.
