You Can't Keep It...

You can't keep it she says, in your arms it will decay, you can't keep it, let it fly away..

I say it cannot fly and if it leaves my arms it will surely die....

she says it must be free to ride the skies to the heavens above...

I say this cannot be done.......

the sky is too far....I say

she says the pain is too near......

wiggleing, struggling to be free...

I realize this was meant to be .....

I open the doors with my heart...

and it flies away and I turn to ask her in my pain..

will it ever come back again and she replies......
