Lady Bugs

There are more insects they say
than any other critters around.
"Daddy look what I found.
Oh no! He just flew away."
Fast little wings did not delay,
with a powerful whirrr sound,
off to eat aphids by the pound,
he could not stay to play.

"Daddy he has freckles too!"
A spatterened bug on Emily's hand,
slowly crawled as she smiled down.
"I wonder if his spots will fade too?"
Children with sense of awe grand,
help nature make the world go around.
