i divide my poems into dark and light. this one to me is a dark poem.
The light in your eyes, is no surprise
The smile that you wear, I didn't put there
Where is the light, that was meant to be mine?
Where is the "we" that was meant to be?

A knife in my heart, ripped it apart
Through the pain, the void remains
Left in this shell, a loveless hell
With only my fears and ragged tears.
