The Mystery Mirror by Mary-Shayne Sager, Year 8 |
The Mystery Mirror It was a dark afternoon where Sally was in the bus sitting next to an old man. When the old man was about to get off the bus, he left an old oval shape mini mirror. Sally tried to call him but the man just ignored her. She took the mirror and she kept it. Ever since, after she kept the mirror, Sally became a lucky girl. She received lots of good news and won heaps of competition. Sally showed the mirror to her friends, as they look at it they felt something mystery. After a few days, her friends’ life turned to bad luck. They blamed it to the old mirror. The mirror shows luck to the owner but brings death to the person whoever looks on the mirror. They could only break the mystery of the mirror if the real owner dies. Her friends started to worry and Sally has nothing to with it. One day, Sally found the old man’s house. She talked to the wife of the man and his wife told her that he’s husband just died yesterday. They talk about the mystery mirror. Soon Sally realizes that the real owner of the mirror was a Chinese who died holding the mirror. Sally and her friends were so happy because they knew that the mystery of the mirror was already broken. They don’t have to worry about their lives and Sally’s life went back to normal. |
