Star Gazing and World Changing

We all gaze at the stars from time to time,
Watching the clouds soar through the nightly sky.
But it’s the reason I stare, I’ve come to find,
That keeps me happy and my chin held high.

You see, there’s more to life than simply living.
Who we are is more than what we own,
It’s the hearts we touch, the love, and the giving…
Of all I’ve learned, I cherish this alone.

We must be the change that we wish to see
Do not look to others to lead the way
The decision we make is who we’ll be,
This, we should demonstrate every day.

This lesson I share, I have learned from you.
From the things you believe and what you feel,
To the things you say and all that you do.
It’s because of you that the world may heal.
