A place where one find peace lost in memory ,"may the time be still forever". |
The Sea Coast ------------------------- I am told of that coastal town, A small ancient eastern down. I am told we have palace right there, Build by grandpa that people stare. I am told I was the sweetest girl, I don’t find it in my memory at all. A hazy, faint shadow like feel, There were some years old ago still. In the back of brain remains under the dust, The city I left on the sea coast. We used to travel there long on train, Why I recalled it today in vein! I walked holding dad’s finger with boast, On the sandy half wet coast. Step by step I walked like a queen, Once dad there the world I can win. The cool and moist wind of the sea, Roaring sound and tide to see. Sand, crab, stone and shell out there, What a life I stand and stare. One by one I picked lot shells, Crabs on hand and walking snails. Crawl they on me as I scream, Dad told me “My sweet dream, I am with you little fairy queen, Don’t you fear baby fight and win.” Years have past since those old days, Still I feel as if dad says. Same old word of love and care. As if his hands crawl on my hair. Love you dad! I am still a child, I care none so long you are my shield. Let me hold your blessing hand, No matter who ever against me stand? Forgot that city that bluish sea coast I am your “Jimmy” still I boast. |
