She's Not In Love

She didn’t mean to hurt him.
At one point, she did feel love for him.
That heart of hers just couldn’t keep it straight.
One moment, she’s falling all over him.
The next, she’s filled with hate.
The situation just hurt him so,
but she blamed it all on fate.
The tears in his eyes fell to the floor,
yet he didn’t give up.
He kept coming back for more.
He wanted her love by any and all means for sure.
In his mind, she was confused.
He believed the love was pure.
Even now, he keeps coming back
and she keeps hurting him.
She apologizes and he forgives.
She hates and he continues to love.
So his tears keep falling
and his heart keeps breaking,
because he insists on having the love
she’s faking.
