One warm day we were out for a hike, like friends sometimes do.
A south wind passed...
it blew right through...
It hit my nose and curled my toes...
...and I thought; potatoes? bad meat? some kind of stew?
I shrugged it off, can't be, but who knew?
We hiked more miles.
The smell had gone.
But, ohhhhh it did not last for long.
This time it hit us quick and strong!
Our buddy yelled, "Hey grab a bowl, someone's making casserole!"
We all laughed, but moved on slow.
For we did not know how this hike would go...
...and then at once we heard the sound!
It sounded like...
...a monkey drowned??
Slowly rounding the last bend, I turned, then looking to my friends said,
"This is not potatoes, bad meat, or casserole!"
And from in their bowl they gave a hollar, yell, and a hoop...
I looked down again and laughed "This is stupid boy soup!"
This was written after hiking a beautiful trail in Hocking Hills located in Ohio! 5 friends and I came upon a natural hot tub approximately 20 feet below the trail... in it were about 15 teenage boys having the time of their lives!
