With in an addiction

Within an addiction, their is always a past.
In which ones' life, a shadow forever shall be cast.
Within an addiction, so much suffering and strain.
But all that is seen is an empty bottle, never the true pain.
Within an addiction, so many uncaptured tears.
So many sleepless nights, too many unbelievable fears.
Within an addiction, is a person fighting to survive.
So be true to ones' self and addiction shall not thrive.
