As I walked a long way inside the avenue,
Knowing not where I was heading,
I called to mind memories not new,
Of days and nights craving for his singing.
What brought me there, might have been,
Memories and sorrows, of yearning for him,
Some jolly and some gloomy been,
Never thought I wouldn’t ever meet him.
Still shocked by the news, going
To the café, which was the meeting place,
Of fans from the whole country coming,
To find ways to heal the world,
And to make it a better place.
I find the café empty,
With no one around, as before joyful;
It sounds to me almost unheard-of,
That the whole world is just so much mournful,
And that now he's out of my life.
I drink my coffee and head toward nowhere,
Somewhere that there’s no one to interrupt
My reflecting on the grief for the angel, somewhere
In the heaven now, gone too abrupt.
I turn on my music player, as tears
Blind my eyes with their flowing stream,
I whisper to myself in feelings so extreme,
“Oh, Michael, you were gone too soon”.
