Poem - Soaring Twilight
The soaring twilight touches my soul.
I look up to the sky and feel the
moon rays bathe my face in their glow.
I think of you in my moments of
forced solitude.
Your smile,
your laugh,
your touch.
I turn, startled.
I can feel your presence near.
Your essence trapped within my own.
I am only one half of a whole
with you so far away.
I wonder are you looking at the moon.
Though separated by continents and war,
I can feel your breath on my face,
your kisses on my neck.
I am wanting and waiting for you.
Stay safe my love, so you can come
back to me for you are my breath,
my air.
Two hearts, one soul,
I always keep your memory near.
