This Path I Take

This path I take,
The question is will it bend or will it break?
It is no longer stretching out straight ahead,
Now it is full of twists and turns instead.

Sometimes I feel the ground fall away beneath my feet,
Other times I'm aware of my heart giving it's strong, steady beat.
It reminds me of where I've been and where I'm going,
It reminds me of the surprises that come with not knowing.

Reading between every line,
Knowing it is only a matter of time.
Watching the possibilities bloom,
Feeling like dancing around my room.

This path I take,
Plenty of bends, but not a single break.
All is well, this is know,
Along this path I will continue to go, and over time I will grow.
