this poem is about a heartbreak, and a girl left emotionally torn in half.
I crossed my heart,

I hoped to die,

I swear my words were never lies.

I told you I loved you

I whispered in your ear.

But then it happened,

What I had  always feared.

You tore me in half,

You broke me down.

And from that day on,

I was the girl all alone in a crowd

Perhaps your lies were ever so subtle

Perhaps I believed you a little too fast

Perhaps I was stupid

And thought we would last.

But I know better now,

I know not to fall in love,

At least not with you

Cause' then I'll get broken

And sent far above.

I wore my heart on my sleeve,

Not knowing it could tear,

But when my lips first met yours,

I could not bare

Bare to stop my fall

Bare to stop my love.

Bare to stop my flight

High upon the heavens

Like a pigeon become a dove.

You taught me a lot,

For that I do thank you.

But I'll still always hate you,

For what you've turned me into.

Now I cannot love,

I destroy all that cross my path,

When it is you, you demon of love,

That needs to feel my wrath.

And if we ever meet again,

Do expect to die.

For I gave you my heart,

And all you gave was lies.

You crossed your heart,

You hoped to die.

And now i swear to you,

Baby, I'll make it happen.

It is but very nigh...
