DRY LANDS

As the early bird catches the worm

Therefore, my people rise before the onset of light

To cross paths without form

Paths they believe is a site

That would unveil the secret

Of the lands beyond

So they be possibly discreet

Yet, they are bemoaned

For they finally reach no place

Other than the ground

On which they first laid their pace

As they journeyed bound

For the promise land

On earth full of sand
