Tick Tock

Tick Tock, Tick Tock,

Streadily beats the weathered clock

Each second passing by, drawing me ever closer

To the moment of my departure

I am fearful to say the least

My confidence becoming further and further decreased

Will he miss me? Will he be strong enough to stay?

These are just two of the questions that twist and turn in my mind each day

Surely I can be brave enough, just this once

To seize my chance at brilliance

I feel it getting closer, with every groan of the clock

I step closer with every tick and every tock
