A poem I wrote to describe how I think singing should be.
Sing
By Lazar
As the fourth period ends,
I gather up my supplies.
I enter a room,
A room that I’ve learned to love.
A room that takes my breath away daily.
The bell rings, class begins.

My friends and I start up the scale to the sound of the piano.
My voice is low,
All the men start to sing lower,
In a way that sounds so harmonious.
That perfectly contrasts with the large group of girls,
Singing higher then you can imagine.

We take out a song,
A song I love the most.
The chords play from the piano,
A beautiful sound erupts,
My throat feels strong as times pass.
It starts to get stronger over time.

As school ends, yet again,
I don’t leave the school,
But I enter a room.
A room I’ve learned to love.
It takes my breath away daily.

We all sing to the piano,
All my friends and I.
We leave the room.
I start to hear a song,
A song I love the most.
The chords play from the piano.

I step forward and let my mind take over.
Spotlight and all,
I sing stronger then ever before.
The crowd claps with amazement,
As I step back from the microphone,
With all the happiness in the world,
As I sing with the group,
And my solo ends.
