Grimly Evaluating Life
The Choice
==========================================

Time stands still my friend
as eternity presses onward,
the round is chambered, hammer drawn,
you're staring dead forward.

You feel no pain,
you feel no fear.
You hear a voice
echoing in your ear.

It's saying:

The time has come,
the time is now,
you have the means
and know just how.
So just do it.
You can do it.

You paid your penitence
and wrote your will.
So now it's time to
get on with the kill.

What's the matter with
the man you see?
Do you choose death or
is your life to be?

Destiny calls, fate awaits,
and silence stills the air,
the maximum price is just to great,
but does anyone really care?

You feel some pain,
you feel some fear,
you hear a voice
echoing in your ear.

It's saying:

The time has come,
the time is now,
you have the means
and know just how.
So just do it,
you can do it.

The round is chambered,
and the hammer is drawn,
a concerned soul in
the mirror looks on.

Destiny calls, fate awaits,
and silence stills the air,
the maximum price, it may be fate
and does anyone really care?

You squeeze the trigger
and a shot rings out.
You feel some burning,
now there's little doubt.

You fall to the floor
in the beat of a heart,
now hoping to live
to have a new start.

You feel great pain,
you feel great fear,
you hear a voice
echoing in your ear.

It's saying:

Your time has come,
but now time is past,
you did the job well,
it's results will last.
You did it!
You really did it!

Destiny calls, fate awaits,
and silence stills the air.
maximum price paid, not too late,
you find that someone cared.

Dark around, a hand to your face,
you'd know it anywhere,
the love of a mom, it's your disgrace,
she always showed she cared.

With regret in, you cannot win
your destiny has been sealed.
self-induced trauma to heavy drama,
no chance of your being healed.

In the death zone, you make it known,
you'd change it if you could,
with your last breath, approaching death,
you point out life was good.

With a soft voice, you realize your choice,
was made with a full plate,
respiration fails, the balanced scales,
have been tipped over by fate.

Destiny Calls, fate awaits,
and silence stills the air.....................
