He has maitained his sobriety.
He fights his addiction every day.

My dad obsesses over fitness.
He has spent his adulthood excercising.
He is a former body builder.

My dad is sometimes lazy.
He has a habit of quitting.
He procratinates.

My dad shows only one side when surrounded.
He has another side that is only shown at home.
His two sides cancel each other out,
But both describe him.
