Just something i though of while reading the Anita Blake series
The used to be a time when I would have just shot a demon that showed up on my door step.  Not that bullets where enough to kill demons but it would give me time to think of something else.  But something held me back; this demon was different and called out to my necromancy powers.  Something I didn’t know whether or not was a good thing. The last time I’d seen a demon it was trying to kill me and my ex-boyfriend, Richard’s mother Charlotte.
But, hey things change.
I had to stand on my toes to see out the peep hole, since I’m only 5’3, and pressed the browning at heart height.  Better to be safe, than to die.
Looking out, the only thing I could see was a barely covered breast.  What was it with everybody coming to my house in fewer cloths than socially correct?  Not that I minded with my lovers, but hey.
While contemplating whether to open the door or not, I felt Jason come up behind me, I could feel his energy, felt that he would shift at any minute if need be.  Not that I think it would be needed.  I know the demon could sense us just like we could sense it still didn’t attack us I didn’t think that its first priority was to kill me, and opened the door.
The first thing I noticed was that the demon looked normal, well as close to normal that a supermodel body can be.  The second thing was that she was at least 5’ll, I had to lean back to see her face, which if I was a jealous woman I would want to scratch it off, which I’m not. Oh wait.
But the last, and probably more important thing, was that she reeked of power.  Not something that really comforted me, though I didn’t let it show, you never want to do that with anything that may be stronger than you.  Ever.
Trying to look taller than my small stature I stood straight and looked into her golden eyes.  Which was hard considering the almost 7 inch difference.

~Sorry I know what I want to write but I have to find a way to say it, bear with me.~
